Leicester Send Blackpool Packing

Leicester 2-1 BlackpoolLeicester City moved into 6th place in the Championship after beating Ian Holloways Blackpool 2-1.The first half was very disapointing for Leicester as the pa sing got very sloppy from the midfield. Blackpoolhad the first effort on goal as Keith Southern saw his shotgo wide ofthe right of the goal.On the Ten minute mark Leicester had their first shot on goal. Foxes winger Dany NGue san saw his shot saved by Blackpool keeper Paul Rachubka. Rachubka was called into action a couple of seconds later, as Steve Howard saw his shot saved by the Seasiders goalkeeper.The game died down only until the 25th minute, as Leicester scored the first goal of the game. Richie Wellens floated in a quick free kick, as Matty Alex Bregman Jersey Fryatt picked it up and slotted it past the hopele s Blackpool goalkeeper. 1-0 Leicester.However in the 30th minute, Blackpool found a sloppy equaliser, as Jason Euell played a through ball into Charlie Adam, who fired in his goal from close range. Leicester 1-1 Blackpool.Leicester City had two final chances to take the lead in the first half. Dany NGue san saw his shot blocked by Ian Evatt on Thirty-Three minutes. Two minutes later NGue san had a chance again, this time his header went wide of the left of the goal. There was no more action in the first half as the referee called time as the players left the field at 1-1.The players entered the field for the second half, and it was Blackpool with the first real chance of the second period. Neil Eardley cro sed the ball into the box; however Jason Euell saw his header go wide.Then on Fifty-Seven minutes Leicester took the lead for the second time, it was Matty Fryatt again who capitalised on a mi s interception, as he picked the ball up and slotted it past Paul Rachubka for 2-1. After the goal Leicester decided to change things as Andy King entered the field as the replacement Anthony Gose Jersey for Lloyd Dyer.On Sixty-Seven minutes Leicester had another chance, this time Steve Howard found space on the edge of the box; however his shot blazed over the cro sbar. Then a minute later Blackpools loan sensation Jay Emmanuel-Thomas saw his shot from the edge of the box go horribly over the bar.Substitutions were then made by both clubs as Blackpool brought on both Billy Clarke and new signing Hamuer Bouazza in replace of Jason Euell and Brett Ormerod. Leicester also made one change as loan striker Martyn Waghorn replaced Steve Howard.The game looked to stay at 2-1 as Blackpool made their final substitution as they went in search for a late equaliser, David Vaughan replacing Keith Southern. Blackpool however were putting Leicester under pre sure as a number of corners were delivered by Blackpool, however Leicester managed to defend in numbers. Leicester also made their final substitution as Paul Gallagher came on for two goal hero Matty Fryatt.Nothing else happened in the closing stages of the match as the referee called time on the game. Leicester keep up their 100% home win record for this season as the Foxes ended Blackpools unbeaten run to the season. Leicester came out worthy winners in the end as the Foxes sent Ian Holloways Blackpool back to the seaside without any points.Man Of The Match Richie Wellens was without a doubt the Foxes man of the match. Wellens set up Leicester City first goal of the game and he also tackled well and also picked out some useful pa ses.
